In the heart of Barcelona
The Hotel Medicis enjoys an excellent location, very close to some of the city’s most famous attractions, such as the Sagrada Familia and the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site. Its proximity to public transport makes it easy to reach other points of interest in Barcelona.
Sagrada Familia
Just a 10-minute walk from the hotel, the Sagrada Familia is one of Barcelona’s most emblematic jewels. Still under construction, Antoni Gaudí’s masterpiece is notable for its intricate architectural details and impressive façades depicting different aspects of Christian life. The interior, with its tree-like columns branching out towards the ceiling, creates an almost mystical atmosphere. The light that enters through the stained glass windows turns the basilica into a spectacle of colours and shadows, making each visit a unique experience.

Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site
Just a 5-minute walk away, this World Heritage complex will transport you to the heart of Catalan Modernisme. Designed by Lluís Domènech i Montaner, the site is one of the most impressive works of modernisme, with its pavilions interconnected by gardens and covered walkways. The architectural details, colourful stained glass windows and decorative tiles create an atmosphere full of history and beauty. The Sant Pau Site was originally a hospital, but today it is a cultural space that offers guided tours to admire the architecture and learn about its past.

Güell Park
Located just 15 minutes away by metro, Park Güell is another of Gaudí’s great legacies in Barcelona. This park, declared a World Heritage Site, combines nature and art in a unique way. At its entrance, you’ll find the famous dragon staircase, decorated with colourful ceramics. As you walk through the park, you’ll discover organic shapes on benches, paths and buildings, all in perfect harmony with the natural surroundings. From the park’s terraces, you’ll have a spectacular view of the city and the coast, one of the best panoramic views in Barcelona.
Horta Labyrinth
About 20 minutes away by metro, the Labyrinth of Horta is one of the most peaceful and beautiful gardens in Barcelona. This historic park, one of the oldest in the city, offers a perfectly designed hedge maze where you can lose yourself and enjoy the calm. The garden also features sculptures, fountains and a small palace. Its tranquil setting and landscaping make it the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city for a more relaxed and contemplative experience.

Barcelona Bunker
About 20 minutes away by metro, the Bunker del Carmel is one of the city’s most impressive viewpoints. Located at the top of the hill of El Carmel, the bunker offers an incredible panoramic view of Barcelona, from the Mediterranean Sea to the mountains surrounding the city. The site was used during the Spanish Civil War as a strategic defence point, but today it is a popular place to watch the sunset or simply enjoy the views at any time of the day. It is the ideal place to photograph the city skyline or enjoy an unparalleled view.
